So, you want to compete. We can get you there!
Ballroom: Both amateur and professional competition can be attained through our studio, in Smooth or Latin dance. No partner is required for private lessons -- partner situations for competition will be discussed, please see instructors for more detail. Competition requires membership in the National Dance Council of America.
Other dance: various competitions are held in the area, based upon student interest we can support student participation in these events. Please see instructors for more detail.
Training for competition requires great commitment and hard work. Private lessons will be required for ballroom competition preparation. As with any of our classes, please talk to us about your goals for your dance, and we will do our part to help you reach them!
We believe that competition can and should be a positive experience. We do not force any of our students to compete or perform, but we are happy and able to prepare students who do wish to do so.
The Ballroom Blitz currently attends several ballroom competitions a year, both for showcase performances and competitions (see Past Events & Honors for a sampling). Ms. Deni competed professionally in both American Smooth and Latin for many years (see Instructors page).
